What is rose quartz?
Rose quartz is a pink, cloudy variety of quartz. Its soft color comes from microscopic fibers of a mineral related to dumortierite, trapped inside as it formed at 400–700 °C deep in the earth. Unlike some pink quartz, solid rose quartz doesn't fade in sunlight.
